Menus

Our menu systems have been developed by registered dietitians for skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, and the group home setting. The menus are based on the USDA's Food Guide Pyramid and adhere to the latest published dietary guidelines for specific health conditions. A variety of menu options are available to accommodate different types of meal service and needs of the customer, including Selective menus and Kosher menus.  The well-designed menu system is easy to implement, budget conscience, and proven to promote customer satisfaction.

Types of Menus for

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers and Assisted Living Facilties


Non-Selective Menus: Our five-week non-selective menus with no alternates are suitable for most nursing facilities and provide a place for your staff to write in your own alternates. This allows your dietary department to be able to adhere to your food budgets and also include resident choices.

Selective Menus: Our traditional menu cycle is suitable for both nursing facilities and assisted living facilties and our most often requested. This 5 week menu cycle provides clients selective choices for the main entrée, starch, vegetable and dessert. It also includes a planned HS snack. The PPD (price per patient per day) is on average $4.75-$5.25. Two seasonal cycles are available Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter and includes selection sheets for your clients to make their choices.

Non Selective Upscale Menus: This 5 week menu cycle is suitable for a nursing and assisted living facilities and has a main entree and a blank space for alternate for lunch and dinner. Food choices include items that are trendier like salmon and ethnic foods including Chinese and Mexican. This menu includes a planned HS snack. The PPD (price per patient per day) is on average $4.60- $4.80. Two seasonal cycles are available Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter.

Selective Menus Upscale: This a 5 week menu cycle that is selective menu that has planned choices for the entrée, starch, vegetable and dessert and is suitable for nursing and assisted living facilities. Food choices include items that are trendier like salmon, and ethnic foods to include Chinese and Mexican. It also includes a planned HS snack. The PPD (price per patient per day) is $5.25 -$ 5.75 PPD. Two seasonal cycles are available Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter and includes selection sheets for your clients to make their choices.

Fine Dining Selective Menus: This menu cycle is suitable for nursing and assisted living facilities. This menu cycle includes a 5 week selective menu cycle. Along with the choice of main entrée, vegetables and starch it includes a daily choice of soup and salad at lunch and dinner. There is a daily dessert cart offering included. The PPD (price per patient per day) is on average $5.25 -$5.75.

Group Home Menus: Dietary Solutions offers a comprehensive turnkey menu program that can be used in the group home setting. These menus are available in seasonal cycles and are 4 weeks in length.
